Meet The Artist

About The Studio
Unratio is the studio of Australian artist and writer Isa June.
She creates abstract landscapes shaped by luminosity and reflection. The work draws from places she journeys through, with a particular fondness for shorelines and garden paths. It carries the idea that nature itself is home, a place of belonging.
Process
Walking and travel are central to her practice. Time spent in different environments allows her to observe, photograph and reflect. Back in the studio, these impressions are distilled into abstract compositions.
Spatial depth is created through deliberate blocks of colour and unexpected colour relationships rather than tonal shading.
Although created digitally, every shape is drawn by hand to retain its organic character. Digital tools are used to achieve solid, matte colour and crisp edges that define the visual language of the studio.
Limited and open edition works are produced as archival giclée prints on premium cotton rag paper.
Isa June accepts a small number of bespoke commissions each year, creating works that respond to a specific place or the memory of one.
Her work has been licensed for publishing and home décor and is available for select collaborations across interiors, publishing and hospitality.
