Artist Statement

On my way to the beach I passed an almost absurdly tall grove of palms. Long slender trunks with bunches of coconuts rising to improbably heights. They stood as sentinels watching over the beach. 

The beach was scattered with shells and coral. Broken, whole, sun-worn. Everything catching the light in different ways. This work gathers those impressions with chalky strokes and layers of batik inspired pattern. 

About The Collection

More Than You Knew is a layered digital collage series blending botanical form, textile pattern, and soft geometry in a palette of peach, seafoam, sunlit gold, and washed coastal blues. Inspired by tropical island landscapes where palms, shells, and floral fragments gather into compositions that feel vivid, abundant, and slightly dreamlike.

Drawn by hand using digital tools, combining organic variation with crisp matte colour and defined edges, a signature of the studios visual language.
